With our modern spark spectrometer we determine the chemical composition of unknown metals and alloys with high precision. The stationary metal analyzer SpektroMaxx from the company Spectro.
For spectral analysis, we take small samples from your workpieces, which are then analyzed in the spectrometer. Smaller components can also be analyzed directly.

HOW SPARK SPECTRAL ANALYSIS WORKS:

Description of the method: Spark spectroscopy (also called OES analysis or optical emission spectrometry with spark excitation) is a method of physical material analysis. Spectrometers work according to the principle of optical emission spectrometry. Sample material is vaporized on the material surface by an arc or spark discharge, and the released atoms and ions are excited to emit radiation. The emitted radiation is broken down into its individual spectral components in a spectrometer. Elements contained in the sample emit at specific wavelengths and can be measured using photomultipliers. The intensity of the radiation is proportional to the concentration of the respective element. A quantitative statement about the composition can be made very precisely with the help of calibration data.
