Our Nano-CT system offers the highest possible resolution in the field of conventional computer tomography and enables detail recognition of up to around 500 nanometers. To achieve these extremely fine resolutions, special X-ray sources with particularly small focal spots and high-resolution detectors are used that are able to make even the smallest structures visible. However, due to the high geometric magnification required for this precision, the objects that can be examined are limited to a few millimeters. Despite this limitation, Nano-CT systems open up completely new possibilities for analysis and error detection in high-precision applications, for example in microelectronics or materials research.
For parts that are 10 mm and smaller, the 190kV nanofocus transmission source with its submicron resolution is the right choice. It enables high-resolution testing of all types of samples: While its water-cooled target enables rapid temperature compensation and maximum focal spot stability, four modes allow the optimal adjustment of the focal spot size to the power. Both tubes have their own generator and high-voltage cable, so they can be replaced without reconfiguration.
