The roller peel test according to DIN EN 1464 is an experiment to determine the peel resistance of adhesive bonds. Hereby the two to be joined specimens are glued together, while one of the joining partners must be flexible. This one is drawn off via a guide roller at a defined angle by a tensile tester. The force necessary for this removal results in connection with the sample width in the peel resistance.Furthermore you obtain a fracture pattern with this experiment, with which you can determine the type of failure of the bonding (cohesive failure , adhesive failure , ...) according to DIN EN ISO 10365th.
Standards: DIN EN 1464, ISO 4578, DIN EN ISO 10365, ASTM D3167
