Corrosion

According to DIN 50900, corrosion is defined as "the reaction of a metallic material with its environment, which causes a measurable change in the material and can impair the function of a metallic component or an entire system". For the metalworking industry, this means a considerable economic task with economic and safety relevance. With today's multitude of technical materials, material combinations and systems, a technical evaluation of materials is almost indispensable. In particular, the appropriate corrosion protection, the specific material selection and a well-founded damage analysis play an important role in clarifying and preventing further damage. The GWP experts are happy to support you with development support and damage analyses for your products. Thanks to our many years of experience in characterizing corrosion phenomena and carrying out complex damage analyses, with us you have a competent partner at your side.
