Heat release rate (MARHE)

In accordance with ISO 5660-1, we offer the fire test procedure in our laboratories to determine the heat release rate. The test specimens are thermally stressed by a heat radiator arranged above them at a constant radiation intensity. The intensity of the radiation (25 kW - 75 kW) varies depending on the product. The heat release rate is calculated by analyzing the oxygen consumption during the test. The key assessment parameter is the average heat release rate (ARHE), from which the MARHE value (maximum ARHE value over the test duration) is derived.
