fire protection test glow wire

GWP mbH offers you fire tests in accordance with IEC 60695-2 (glow wire test). This involves determining the afterburning time for a defined exposure time, as well as the falling off of burning drops or glowing parts. This test can also be carried out on pure material samples. Here, the glow wire flammability index (GWFI) is determined as the highest test temperature at which the flames or glowing processes are extinguished within 30 seconds after the glow wire is removed, without the specified base igniting due to burning drops or glowing parts. This test enables a comparison of the flammability of different materials.
