Almost every examination begins with a documentation of the status. Macroscopic images are used primarily for documentation when samples are received, for marking sample positions or for initial assessments of damage. We have a variety of lighting options at our disposal, such as UV or oblique light, to show even the finest details of the surface structure.
Light microscopy is mainly used to create images of metallographic sections. We have a variety of optical contrasting options available for evaluating microstructures. Our microscopes are equipped with automatic scanning tables and thus enable automatic image recording of sections up to 100 x 100 mm in size. We therefore offer effective solutions for phase determination and pore evaluation across the entire cross-section.
