Workshop & Production

Our workshop – your partner for precision and efficiency

In the Society for Materials Testing's (GWP) own workshop, we offer you comprehensive options for taking and producing samples for further tests. Thanks to an extensive machine park, we are able to produce samples extremely efficiently and precisely. Whether tensile samples, impact samples or other special requirements - we guarantee the highest quality and efficiency through the use of CNC-controlled multi-axis machines.

Tailor-made solutions for individual requirements

Our workshop also operates its own apparatus and device construction, which is individually tailored to the requirements of our customers or our in-house laboratories. This enables us to act flexibly and in a goal-oriented manner, even in complex projects.

New: Our laser welding department

A special highlight is our new laser welding department, which has been integrated directly into our workshop. This allows us to expand our manufacturing options and respond even more specifically to your requirements.

Laser beam welding – precision and efficiency for your production

Our service:

Laser beam welding offers a state-of-the-art solution for demanding joining techniques. With exceptional precision and minimal heat input, it enables Connecting complex geometries and demanding materials such as high-strength steels, titanium alloys or aluminum – ideal for applications in automotive, aerospace and medical technology.

Thanks CNC-controlled 5-axis robot and our powerful laser welding system (Laserline LDF 4000-30, 4400 W), we realize individual projects with high efficiency and repeatable quality - from prototypes to series production.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • Precise welds with minimal distortion
  • High strength for thin-walled and sensitive components
  • Efficient production and cost optimization through short process times
  • Flexible solutions for geometrically demanding components

Your partner for innovative manufacturing technologies
Whether individual parts, small series or complex assemblies – we advise you individually and accompany your project from planning to implementation.

That is why we rely on laser beam welding in joining technology.

Laser beam welding offers precise control of the energy input, resulting in precise welds with minimal thermal stress. The high welding speed and rapid material deposition make processing efficient and enable high production rates. The low heat input ensures minimal distortion, which means the workpiece remains almost unchanged - an advantage especially for sensitive components.
Another key advantage of laser beam welding is the ability to work with extremely narrow weld seams that are highly strong even under tensile loads. Due to the small heat-affected zone, complex geometries can be joined together with almost no distortion. The short process times and high energy per unit area reduce costs and minimize gas consumption.
