Bending test: Investigation of the bending behavior of materials

The Bending test is used to bending behavior of materials such as metals, plastics and fiber composites. With the universal testing machine Zwick can measure all common parameters such as kraft, Deflection, flexural strength, Gearmodule and bending strain be measured precisely.

Technical details of the test system

• Universal testing machine Zwick 250kN: Force range from 20N to 250kN
• deflection measurement according to ISO 9513, Class 1
• Direct deflection measurement on the sample, according to the specifications in section 5.4.3

The support distance and the pressure fin of the test device are variable to cover different test scenarios.

test conditions

The conditioning of the test specimens takes place in fully air-conditioned rooms, whereby the test climate is continuously climate logger monitored to ensure accurate and consistent results
