Laboratory Alliance for the Aluminium Industry

As a leading service provider network in materials technology, we, together with our sister company SPC, offer a wide range of services specifically for the aluminum industry. This includes comprehensive solutions for quality assurance, damage analysis and process optimization. Our expertise and options cover a unique range for your industry.

We support our customers with the chemical analysis of alloys, mechanical testing and microscopic examinations. In addition to classic NDT, we also offer inspection methods such as digital X-ray analysis and computer tomography (CT). With our 450 kV system, we are able to scan large aluminum components.

Our key services for the aluminium industry

Computed tomography with 450 kV

Unique: 450 kV CT for large components: wall thickness analysis, representation in false colors 2D and 3D, defect analysis, determination of volume, porosity, cavities, cracks.... Diverse applications in quality assurance and damage analysis.

Digital X-ray inspection 450 kV

It is used to analyze material structures in detail and identify internal defects without damaging the material or product. Digital X-ray inspection is used particularly in the foundry and manufacturing industries to check the quality and integrity of components such as aluminum castings, welds or complex components.

material testing on aluminum

Tensile tests, bending tests and impact tests, hardness tests and mechanical component tests according to customer specifications

Metallographic investigations

Metallographic microstructure investigation of cast and wrought alloys: grain size, dendrite arm spacing, layer thicknesses, material defects, etc.

Sample production

Our own workshops are geared towards the effective processing of your components. Using the latest, computer-controlled milling and lathe machines as well as precision saws, we ensure that all test specimens are taken with the utmost precision and in first-class quality. Our machines enable precise processing that meets the highest requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface quality. In this way, we guarantee that every component is optimally prepared for further testing and meets the highest quality assurance standards.

Material analysis

The analysis laboratory offers chemical analyses of metals. e.g. spark spectral analysis of aluminum and aluminum alloys
