Computed tomography – How do we check whether we are right?

reference sample for computed tomography

A ring test is usually used to check the accuracy and reliability of measurement methods. Several laboratories or institutions independently carry out measurements of the same samples in order to evaluate the consistency of the results. The GWP 2D/3D measurement laboratory successfully participated in a ring test on computer tomography (CT), which involved measuring structures.
We also demonstrate our skills in the precise measurement of structures with regular monitoring tests on reference bodies (e.g. with a DKD calibrated ball forest).
Successful participation in the round robin test and our own methods for ensuring validity show that our measuring methods and equipment meet the high standards and that they can deliver reliable and accurate results. Such results are particularly important in quality control, research and development, and manufacturing technology.
